🔖 Technique Notes
Shirakawa Sensei enters deeply with an Irimi-like movement, connecting to Uke’s wrist and forearm as in classic Ikkyō, immediately leading their balance forward and off-center.
As Uke destabilizes, the sweep is integrated into the body movement—a subtle Harai-like action that redirects the lead foot through timing and weight transfer, not a separate kick.
With arm control and sweep combined, uke is taken down smoothly into a controlled fall or pin, finishing in a strong, grounded Ikkyō immobilization.
