🔖 Technique Notes
Judō's Tai Otoshi, or "body drop," is a fundamental hand technique (te-waza) in which the thrower off-balances the opponent forward and to the side, then pivots to place a fully extended leg across the opponent’s path, using the arms to guide and rotate them over the leg. The thrower pulls the opponent’s upper body forward while blocking their foot or leg with a straight, firm leg, causing the opponent to pivot over the leg and fall onto the mat.
