🔖 Technique Notes
As uke launches a Mae Geri, Tori pivots to the outside with a Tenkan, finishing behind Uke and guiding him by the back of the neck so Uke follows the turn. As Uke turns back to face him, Tori switches to a Kata Dōri grip on Uke’s shoulder while wrapping Uke’s head with the other arm, in the classical Irimi nage form. Tori then drops his hips, places them across Uke’s centerline, and applies the Irimi nage cutting motion, causing Uke to pivot over Tori’s hips and rotate through the throw.
