🔖 Technique Notes
Tori seizes both of Uke’s wrists in Ryōte Dōri. He opens Uke’s arms, lifting them, then brings them back together while lowering them, applying a Yonkyō-like pressure on both arms with his index fingers. This causes Uke to lower his posture.
As Uke rises again, Tori lowers his hips and, using an Aiki Age motion, locks Uke’s elbows to control his shoulders, moving them upward and backward to unbalance Uke. Tori then pivots, passes under both of Uke’s arms, and brings the arms down to throw him — in a movement very similar to Shihō Nage, but applied simultaneously to both arms.
