🔖 Technique Notes
Tori executes the rolling kneebar from standing to take Uke down, collecting both heels in the process. Once grounded, Tori secures the attacking leg with a tight “telephone” grip—clamping it between the shoulder and ear to prevent slipping—while controlling the heel with the crook of the elbow so the free hand can disengage if necessary. He then eliminates all space between his thigh and Uke’s hip by extending his legs—the inside leg threading first and the outside leg crossing over it—before finishing by extending the hips for a tight, controlled kneebar.
