🔖 Technique Notes
Uke attempts to seize Tori’s chest lapel (Muna Dōri). Tori, holding a Tessen in a reverse grip, strikes Uke’s face with its point. He then positions the Tessen along Uke’s upper arm, under the armpit, with the tip extending across Uke’s back. Using the Tessen as a lever, Tori pushes against the arm while pulling on Uke’s back, throwing him to the ground. Once Uke falls onto his back, Tori pins him by placing the point of the Tessen on a kyūsho at Uke’s neck, just behind/under the jaw.
