Tachi Dōri – Kote Gaeshi – One-handed Variation
⛩️ Source
This excerpt comes from a 1935 demonstration by Morihei Ueshiba Sensei at the Osaka Asahi Journal, directed by Hisa Takuma.
🔖 Technique Notes
Uke strikes Shōmen Uchi. Tori enters to the outside and performs a tenkan pivot while seizing Uke’s lead hand. He then retreats his lead foot as he applies Kote Gaeshi, turning Uke’s wrist along a circular path—upward and then down—to throw him. During this motion, Tori uses his free hand to seize the handle between Uke’s hands.
