🔖 Technique Notes
Uke and Tori shake hands. Tori pulls Uke’s hands down by flicking his wrist forward and brings both hands closer to his own center, positioning them under it and thus further from Uke’s center (he shifts the point of application of the forces away from uke’s centre in order to merge it with his own centre). This overextends Uke, unbalancing him forward. As both hands are now under Tori’s center and close to his body, he simply lowers his body to further break Uke’s posture or to throw him if Uke is sufficiently unbalanced.
