🔖 Technique Notes

As Uke attacks with Chūdan Tsuki, Tori enters to the outside with a Tenkan pivot, threading his arm over and around Uke’s attacking arm from above, seizing the wrist in the process. He also grips the same wrist with his other hand, securing a firm two-hand control.
Tori then continues with an Enka pivot, dropping to the ground so that Uke’s shoulder contacts the mat first, with Tori’s back lying along Uke’s side in a Hiji Kime Osae control. From this position, Tori submits Uke by extending the elbow, slightly turning and raising his upper body to increase leverage.
Maintaining control of the first arm with the wrapped arm, Tori then seizes Uke’s other arm with his now-free hand, ending back to back with Uke, controlling both arms in the same manner.
