🔖 Technique Notes
Uke and Tori hold each other’s hand as in a handshake. Tori reinforces the grip by taking Uke’s hand with his free hand, securing a two-hand hold. He then drops to the ground and spins to the outside, passing under Uke’s arm as he turns. This movement creates the same torque and kuzushi as in Shihō Nage, locking Uke’s elbow and forcing him to follow the rotation, spin, and be brought down to the ground. As Uke tries to get up, Tori can transition to Ne-Waza submissions.
