⛩️ Source
This video is part of the Kodokan × IJF Academy “100 Techniques” series, a joint educational project presenting a standardized, officially endorsed technical curriculum that unites classical Kodokan Jūdō with modern international practice.
🔖 Technique Notes
Harai Goshi, or 'sweeping hip throw,' is a Judō technique in which Tori uses their hip as a pivot to lift and off-balance Uke while sweeping his leg backward to execute the throw. Unlike other hip throws, the sweeping leg adds extra momentum.
