Ikkyō Nage with Foot Trapping

As Uke strikes Shōmen Uchi, Tori enters to the inside, initiating an Ikkyō Omote entry. Instead of completing the standard cut, he drives Uke’s elbow diagonally toward Uke’s head, unbalancing him and shifting more weight onto his lead foot. Tori continues to push the elbow along the same diagonal line while stepping on Uke’s lead foot with his own, trapping it. With his weight on the lead foot and the foot immobilized, Uke cannot adjust and falls.
