Ikkyō – variation with Hojōjutsu immobilization (rope restraint)

Uke grabs Tori’s collar from behind (Ushiro Eri Dōri). Tori turns around, strikes Uke’s midsection with his left hand, and his face with his right hand. He then applies an Ikkyō variation, locking Uke’s elbow to straighten the arm and control the shoulder, driving Uke to the ground and pinning the shoulder.
Maintaining control, Tori places his knee on Uke’s shoulder while keeping full Ikkyō control of the arm.
Tori then uses a rope (Hojōnawa) to restrain Uke using a Hojōjutsu technique. He positions both of Uke’s arms in an Ude Garami (Kimura) configuration behind his back and secures them, wrapping the rope several times under Uke’s neck.
He finishes by standing up while holding the end of the rope, maintaining control over Uke.
