🔖 Technique Notes

This is a translation from the description of the technique from the Budō manual :
"Tori: Fill yourself with ki and encourage your opponent to strike in Shōmen.
Uke: Raise your right Te-gatana high, step forward on your right foot and strike in. Tori: Enter on his right, strike his ribs with your left fist and use your right te-gatana to deflect his attack downwards (13). Rotate around to get behind him and throw him (as explained in the second sequence), with the option of following up the throw with a powerful blow to the chin (14, 15 and 16). Note: In actual combat, strike your opponent's face with all your strength.". The 'second sequence' mentioned here refers to the 'Classic Irimi Nage'.
