Irimi Nage – Uke’s arm across his own neck Variation

In this extract, Philippe Léon Sensei demonstrates a variation of Irimi Nage in which Tori enters on the outside, redirects Uke’s attacking arm across Uke’s own neck, and secures the arm on the opposite side. This self-imposed neck alignment is then used to disrupt Uke’s balance, bring Uke to the ground, and apply controlled pressure until the tantō is released.
