Ashi Guruma, or "leg wheel," is a Judō throw in which the thrower off-balances the opponent forward or sideways, then positions a leg across the opponent’s body—usually around the thigh or hip—and rotates them over it like a wheel. The thrower uses the arms to guide the opponent’s upper body while the leg acts as a pivot point, causing the opponent to roll over and fall onto the mat. Unlike lower-blocking throws, Ashi Guruma emphasizes a rotational sweeping motion.
