Kokyū Nage – Christian Tissier Variation (similar to Ura Otoshi)

Uke lunges forward with a tsuki. Tori enters to the inside, controls the attacking arm with his rear hand, and delivers an atemi to the face. Using the same hand, Tori grips Uke’s gi at shoulder level. Maintaining control of the arm, Tori raises Uke’s hand and pivots, drawing Uke under the raised arm by pulling his shoulder. This action unbalances Uke backward, stretching him between the shoulder grip and arm control, and places him in an ura-otoshi–like position. Tori then steps in and drives downward to complete the throw.
