🔖 Technique Notes
As Uke launches a Mae Geri, tori slips to the inside and secures control of one of Uke’s arms from the guard in an Ikkyō-like grip—one hand at the wrist, the other at the elbow. Tori then sets his stance so his feet and hips are perpendicular to Uke’s position, drops his hips, and, as he steps back across Uke’s line, draws Uke’s arm through an Ikkyō-style cutting motion. Uke pivots over tori’s hips, rotating around them as the throw is executed.
