🔖 Technique Notes

Uke grabs both of Tori’s legs at thigh level, with his head to the outside at waist height, his back bent forward, and drives forward in a pushing motion, like a tackle. Tori frames with his lead arm across Uke’s neck, placing it on the rear shoulder, then steps back and pivots inward. As he turns, he redirects Uke’s forward force to the inside—on Uke’s rear leg side, where he cannot step to regain balance—by pressing down on the shoulder, causing Uke to lose balance and fall.
