This excerpt comes from “Apprendez l’Aikido” (on-screen spelling; likely intended as “Apprenez l’Aïkido”), a 1985 instructional seminar video featuring Christian Tissier (then aged 34), produced and presented by the Italian imprint Aikido e Dintorni, whose banner (www.aikidoedintorni.com) appears repeatedly throughout the footage.

Uke strikes Shōmen Uchi. Tori enters to the outside and executes a Tenkan pivot. As Uke turns to face him, Tori simultaneously raises Uke’s arm and threatens an atemi to Uke’s face, unbalancing him upward. Tori then lowers his center, positioning his hips perpendicular to Uke’s feet in a T-shape. He lowers Uke’s arm while retreating his hip, making Uke roll over it.
