⛩️ Source
This excerpt comes from a news segment broadcast by Hokkaido Television Broadcasting (HTB) in Japan, likely as part of a regional news program in Hokkaido, featuring Alain Floquet visiting the Daitōkan and training in Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu under Tokimune Takeda at the Kitakawachi Dojo. The broadcast is estimated to date from the early 1990s (approximately 1990–1992). The footage was reportedly provided by Eiichi Kawazoe, who was an uchideshi (live-in disciple) of Tokimune from 1982 to 1986.
🔖 Technique Notes
Uke grabs Tori’s sleeve (Sode Dōri). Tori positions his grabbed arm on the inside of Uke’s elbow from the outside, unbalancing him downward. He then guides his hand toward Uke’s opposite shoulder, palm down, and folds his hand to drive his wrist under Uke’s chin, pushing Uke’s head backward, unbalancing him and throwing him. Once Uke is on the ground, Tori finishes with an atemi to the ribs.
