⛩️ Source
This video is part of the Kodokan × IJF Academy “100 Techniques” series, a joint educational project presenting a standardized, officially endorsed technical curriculum that unites classical Kodokan Jūdō with modern international practice.
🔖 Technique Notes
Jūdō's Tai Otoshi, or "body drop," is a fundamental hand technique (te-waza) in which Tori off-balances Uke forward and to the side, then pivots to place a fully extended leg across Uke’s path, using the arms to guide and rotate them over the leg. Tori pulls the Uke's upper body forward while blocking their foot or leg with a straight, firm leg, causing Uke to pivot over the leg and fall onto the mat.
