Hello, we are Diego & Anthony.
We practiced aikido together in Lille, France for the last few years, and we are tremendously passionate about ancient and forgotten techniques.
In 2024–2025, we had the chance to train freely and autonomously in our dojo, which gave us the opportunity to experiment with new techniques and explore aspects that are barely — or even never — practiced in standard Aikido classes.
What started as regular training slowly became something else:
a constant curiosity for what existed before modern pedagogy, before standardization, before techniques were simplified to fit classes and grading systems.
As we were training, we built a list of random techniques in a Word file, first called “Advanced techniques” for experienced aikidoka. We shared it within our club, and it eventually became “Forbidden techniques”, because we found the name more appealing — and a bit goofy at the same time.
When Diego left the city due to the end of his studies, we kept in touch almost every day through messages.
Finally, in early January 2026, we launched this website to make our old list more practical and shareable with our fellow practitioners.
