🔖 Technique Notes
This sequence illustrates a transition from an Ippon Seoi Nage–style entry into Uchi Kaiten Sankyō. Instead of the classical Judō sleeve grip, Tori controls Uke’s hand, then enters as for Ippon Seoi Nage, wrapping the free arm under Uke’s armpit to secure the arm. Rather than completing the throw, Tori continues the rotation in the manner of an Uchi Kaiten entry, and transitions into Sankyō control. Maintaining control, Tori brings uke to the ground and is able to apply a submission.
