Jōdan Tsuki – Groin Grab and Tear Defense

As Uke throws a Jōdan Tsuki, Tori redirects the strike with an Age Uke–like parry (a deflection rather than a hard block) while entering to the inside line. Tori then demonstrates a groin grab with the lead hand, palm up, and a tearing motion, and ends the technique by delivering an Atemi to Uke’s face with the other hand—similar to an Uraken trajectory, but struck with a Shutō.
