⛩️ Source
This excerpt comes from a 1935 demonstration by Morihei Ueshiba Sensei at the Osaka Asahi Journal, directed by Hisa Takuma.
🔖 Technique Notes
Uke and Tori face each other, seated in seiza. Tori delivers an atemi to Uke’s face, and Uke raises his arm to protect himself, resulting in Men Uchi contact. Tori raises his free arm on the inside to make contact at Uke’s elbow, replacing his initial contact, and redirects Uke’s arm to the outside, at a 90° angle. Simultaneously, with the arm that made the Men Uchi contact, Tori strikes and pushes Uke’s head in the same direction, causing Uke to fall to the side.
