Suwari Waza Yokomen Uchi – Kokyū Nage (90° Atemi Redirection) – Morihei Ueshiba Variation

Uke and Tori face each other, seated in seiza. Uke strikes Yokomen Uchi, and as the attack makes contact, Tori raises his arm to receive it at the forearm near the elbow and immediately redirects it outward to a 90° angle. Simultaneously, with his free hand, Tori strikes and drives Uke’s head in the same direction, amplifying the imbalance and causing Uke to fall to the side.
