As Uke delivers a Chūdan Tsuki with the lead hand, Tori takes advantage of Uke’s forward stepping motion and sweeps the stepping leg (the one momentarily off the ground) from behind at ankle level with his own lead leg, in a motion similar to Judō's Ko Uchi Gari.
Even if the sweeping motion is not precise, this movement can also be used as a low kick.
