Hiji Kime Osae from Kote Gaeshi

In this excerpt, Chiba Sensei demonstrates the transition from the initial phase of a Kote Gaeshi into an Hiji Kime Osae. As the punch comes in, Tori evades with a small forward step and an Enka pivot, seizing Uke's wrist. He extends Uke’s arm forward and outward, following an arcing trajectory, drawing Uke in front of him. Tori then reverses Uke’s rotation to initiate a Kote Gaeshi, and reverses it once more to transition into an Ude Kime Nage.
