🔖 Technique Notes

Uke and Tori face each other, seated in seiza. Tori first presents his arms toward Uke, prompting him to grab both wrists (Ryōte Dōri). Before Uke can pin Tori’s hands down, Tori raises his hands upward and toward Uke (Aiki Age) and cuts to one side, lowering the outside hand first to make contact with Uke’s forearm, while the other hand simultaneously pushes toward Uke’s head.
