🔖 Technique Notes
As Uke launches a wide haymaker, before the hand accelerates, in Sen no Sen timing (close to Sen Sen no Sen), Tori steps forward on the outside, raising his rear hand (on the opposite side of the stepping foot) to place his palm under Uke’s chin, extending Uke’s head backward, while simultaneously controlling Uke’s attacking arm with his other hand. As Tori enters deeply, the extension of the head and the forward pressure unbalance Uke, causing him to fall backward.
